Media Hub Queue
Home :: Application Design :: Media Hub Queue

From the point of conception of a story to the point of the story going on air, broadcasting channels like CNN,FOX use various systems to aid them in each step of the process(eg - Avid/Final cut pro for editing). Each of these systems is individually operated and the users manually correlate data between these systems. Hence, in a fast paced environment, this non-existent inter-relationship between systems causes delay and often confusion.

Media Hub Queue bridges the gap between these systems and automates the correlation of data. It is a concept developed by the IBM Research group.

Role:

Business Analyst (Requirement gathering, feature list, use cases)
Information Architect (Information design, wireframes, process flow and user scenarios)

The process to design this system included discussions with the owners of the concept, members of the media and broadcasting group who would market this to potential clients and members of the development group.
